Rockal relies on 800 KW of renewable energy by Solar Panels
We believe that every company in the world must go green, especially with the current development of environmentally friendly policies. Sustainability has encouraged us to frame decisions in terms of environmental, social, and human impact for the long-term, rather than short term gains.
Sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It encompasses the entire supply chain of our business, requiring accountability from the primary level, through the suppliers, all the way to the end user.
Demonstrating this value in our policies, everyday activities and behaviours we have learned that sustainability provides a larger purpose and some new deliverables for us to strive for. For instance, to renew our commitments to basic goals like efficiency, sustainable growth and human value.
It is an integrated part of sustainability and means that we must use, safeguard and sustain resources (human and material) to create long term sustainable values by optimal use, recovery and recycling. In other words, we must conserve limited natural resources today so that future generations too can cater to their needs.
Rockal follows the highest quality standards worldwide by applying a lot of strategies like the 5S and LEAN. Rockal is accredited the ISO9001,8001,18001. Rockal also is accredited the CE mark for its stone wool products. Conducting over 50 lab tests on the stone wool products, Rockal ensures the highest quality standards when it comes to a product carrying its name.
It is a proactive way of managing and identifying our business impacts on employees, workers in the value chain, customers, and local communities. A responsibility towards the resources and capabilities we have in order to keep our families and communities healthy and secure.
Improving energy efficiency to ultimately use less energy is a critical step towards reaching carbon neutrality. By saving energy, we reduce the overall energy system’s capacity needs, contributing to a quicker and more cost-effective transition to renewable energy sources. As we like to say, let’s use less and green the rest.
The way in which the molten rock fibers are stacked and the density inside the rock wool product determine the properties of the growing media such as the moisture holding capacity, the aeration or air-filled porosity and the moisture gradient from the top to the base of the cube or growing slab. By altering these properties, rock wool products for different applications have been made available to growers.
Our products can be easily removed when a building is renovated, or demolished and recycled back into new products. In fact, ROCKAL rock wool can be recycled again and again into new rock wool. This is an important element of a “circular” our business model – another way we can be a part of our vision for sustainable cities of the future
